I would like to know if you people that suggest that you can select more than one item in a list by holding down control while arrowing and then pressing space to select have ever actually tried it on a web page with a multiselect list box.

I ask because I have had experience with those job sites. It was a while ago, so I don't remember what JAWS version I was using at the time, but the usual method didn't work at all. I have tried unsuccessfully to select more than one item on a webpage since. It seems I was an idiot and didn't find out the correct way to do it. I wonder why. I think I just tried the normal method that works in Windows Explorer and everywhere else and when that didn't work I assumed that it just wasn't possible on web pages.

Now that I know the method that should work for web pages I don't know of one to test it on without an amazing amount of hassle, so I would like to hear what did and did not work in actual tests. :-)

You do hold down the control key, then while holding it down, arrow to the
next item you want to select, then hit the spacebar. then on to the next,
and so on. but you keep holding down the control key until you've selected
everything.

Hi. I am trying to set up e-mail alerts on a few job sites and I can't
figure out how to go through the list boxes and pick multiple items. It says
hold down the control but when I do it on the keyboard, it doesn't seem to
pick more than one. if anyone knows how to do this can you let me know?
thanks sorry guyds, I've been at this all day and am extremely frustrated
and feel like I DON'T know how to get where I want to be.

Hi Sue,

Not a problem. It's already in the collection, so no one else will have
to validate it.

   Hi All:

I have been working on a book for quite a while and am thoroughly sick
of
it. I find it depressing and am going to release it for someone else who
would not find it depressing. The book is: "The Year of Magical
Thinking"
and the author is Joan Didion. Sorry to be such a lousy spport.

   Thanks,
