[bksvol-discuss] Re: other symbols to convert

There is another symbol that the Braille bookshare tool misinterprets. In
dialect, when someone drops the letter H, as in, ‘ow now, brong cow, the
Braille translator interprets the apostrophe in the dropped h of how as a
British open quotation mark, dot 6 followed by dots 2, 3 and 6. This seems to
happen in all books that are submitted since the new site went up. I wish they
could fix it, because those apostrophes are supposed to be there. And before
someone asks, all other apostrophes are interpreted correctly in most
submissions.

Do I remember right that the cents sign does not convert well in Braille when
run through the Bookshare tools and should be written out as cents?

This symbol is the one I mean:

¢
