Hi Lori,

I've seen exactly what you have seen, paragraph marks that are followed by a
space and then a lower case letter. I don't know if any other software
creates this, but I do know that Kurzweil 1000 versions 10 and below, and
maybe later versions, but I don't know about them for sure, when not set to
ignore the line endings representing the margins of the printed on paper
page, will create this problem. In this instance, one can use the 27-step
process, but when searching for a paragraph mark followed by a lower case
letter, one simply searches for a paragraph mark followed by a space and
then each lower case letter. I've solved the problem that way when
necessary.

Just in case anyone encounters this, I thought I'd chime in and share my
solution.

Mayrie

Debby, That's interesting. I proofread To Speak the Truth, and the
twenty-seven step method removed a number of paragraph marks. I had to
remove many manually because they occurred in mid-sentence before
capitalized words like Cuba, Castro, United States, etc. For some reason,
the method Denise mentioned did not work on that particular book.

I foun the speeches quite interesting.

Just a word of advice, you might turn on "show all" and check some of the
line endings just to double check because I have seen some scanned books
that have a paragraph mark, a space and then a lower case letter, why I
don't know.
