Or the submitter can validate the book him/herself. I know it's not the most ideal or recommended situation, and it probably doesn't apply to the books Dan rejected, but if a book sits on the download list for several weeks and isn't chosen by anybody or is taken and released several times, if the submitter thinks it belongs in the collection he or she should validate it. I'm thinking especially of some of the nonfiction and textbooks. But I do agree with Elizabeth that it would be nice if someone would post here before rejecting the book, and then maybe waiting a couple of days to see if anyone else is willing to take it. If someone offers, then the original person can release rather than reject. Me, for instance--smile. I wouldn't have taken Dan's books, And Elizabeth knows the books I won't take, but there are some I have that were going to be rejected that I expect to enjoy validating, and if I don't, I'll reject them. Some that I've done have really had very little wrong with them--just needed page breaks and were quite good scans. Others have had a lot of scannos, but I've found them interesting reads and haven't minded correcting as I go--and replacing a few missing pages here and there that would have been missed if I weren't reading the book. I've come across authors whose work I enjoyed that I never would have thought of reading before, and I've gone and read others of his/her books. smile Cindy Cindy Cindy __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
