Hi Monica,
First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope that things work
out for her.
I've decided now that I know how validation works and from Gerald's advice
that I'm better off submitting RTFs, despite Bookshare's explicit
instructions to the contrary. I'm not sure how closely John monitors this
list; perhaps I should suggest that the wording be changed some.
A Walden Two Experiment isn't really about Walden; it is about Twin Oaks
in central Virginia. It has the name Walden in it because B. F. Skinner
wrote a book called Walden Two describing a fictional behaviorist utopia
of that name (it is in the Bookshare collection). Many of the people who
founded Twin Oaks were inspired by it and wanted to create a real
community based on it. They did create a community, but it only
superficially resembles Walden Two, and they never actually tried to
implement any of the "behavioral engineering" that Skinner alluded to.

Hi, Mike. Welcome aboard. I think your books sound interesting. I'm one
of those who doesn't own K1000 and couldn't validate your books. I've
been hoping someone would take them soon. I definitely want to read the
book about Waldon once it's validated.
