I don't know of any way to make FineReader put in page breaks instead of
section breaks, but it is easy enough to fix with find-and-replace in Word.
I think that's already been discussed here, so I won't go into the steps to
do that. I've started doing this to all my books before I upload them. I
understand the trap of fixing everything once you start fixing one thing.
<smile> I've just figured out how to make myself stop!

Believe me, if I could figure out how to tell FineReader to put in page
breaks instead of section breaks in the .rtf files, I'd do it in a
heartbeat. Anyone know of any option to change that? I've looked and
looked and never found anything even close.

I'm a bit hesitant to go into the books and change the section breaks to
page breaks mainly because I'll notice something else that should be changed
and zap! I've just spent 2 hours validating the whole book. I might as well
upload for the book to be approved. I'll try changing the section breaks in
my next batch and see how it goes, see if I can restrain myself. One of the
downsides of being a deranged perfectionist!

Carrie thank you so for all you do. And with that as a beginning, a
request (grin). Would it be possible for you to convert section
breaks to page breaks before submitting? This would insure the page
breaks get in. Some folks may not know about the need to transform
your scans in this way.

By the way, what is the feature in the scanning system which results
in section breaks rather than page breaks?

You scan so many books and do it with care. Thank you again.
