Hi all,
Yesterday I had the wonderful experience of visiting the enormous and very
up-to-date library in downtown Minneapolis. I grabbed the following to scan:
Beacon at Alexandria by Gillian Bradshaw,
(this is my all-time favorite historical fiction author, so the validator will
be in for a treat.)

Spring of the Ram, Niccolo Volume 2
(Bookshare has the first in this series, and it's a great scan and a great read
for those who like historical fiction. My goal is to make my scan at least as
good as the first volume, and so far it's scanning beautifully and requiring
virtually no effort on my part to achieve perfection.)

And:
The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir
This being a library copy, the binding isn't so tight that I'll have to do
major damage to my arms to get a good scan. I know others here had an interest
in this book, and since we had so much recent discussion about it, I thought I
go ahead and grab it and give it a try. I've read and liked other books by this
author; scholarly but very readable and neither flinching from unpleasant
details nor wallowing in them.
Thanks all, and hopefully I will become a regular at the library; they even
have computers with JAWS and scanning software there, so it really wouldn't be
a bad thing for me to explore it.
Thanks, and happy reading!
Kellie
