Actually you need to set it so it remembers where you left off. It is under "settings" link.

My highest is a 39 but I haven't played in months.

The URL is http://freerice.com/

The game and explanations and easy start is there. One nice thing about it is, in addition to the fact that you're having fun, learning new words that you'll probably never use in your life (when you get to some of the higher levels), and are donating rice to the food bank (presumably) is that the game remembers where you left off, so you don't have to start over at the beginning every time--unless months pass before you play again.

I am also an autodidact but I did not send you the game so
it was either another Amy, of which I have not seen or heard
here, or your brother. I should not ask, since I have not
the time and am already a solitaire addict but please do
send me the game information. Sounds like fun

By the way, I have described myself several times on this
list, even though I may not have used the word, as an
autodidactic computer user, but I assure you that what
little I have taught myself about how to use a computer is
one hell of a lot harder than my studies in history have
ever been. In a message dated 8/9/2008 7:23:15 P.M. Pacific

you don't already have the information, please note:

 The Hunger
site:http://www.thehungersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=1&link=ctg_ths_home_from_ths_home_sitenav

Here you can click on the rectangle and feed people, then
after you get to the sale page look at the top and click on
the Breast Cancer site and give free mammograms, free
children's vaccinations, books, etc. The sponsors pay.
All you have to do is click on the sites and on the
rectangles, back and forth. I get a reminder and do this
once a day.

Thanks for the information and continued good luck with the
self education. I am still learning.

That sent me there, too. I've seen it and understood
it in the context in which I was reading it, but I
didn't really know it out of context.

There's a wonderful word game someone sent me the URL
of: free rice: http://freerice.com/index.php The words
start at an easy level and get more difficult as one
proceeds, and "For each word you get right, we donate
20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food
Program." (Amy, was it you who sent it to me? Or my
brother.) It's addictive, so if one wants to get any
validating done one must set oneself a limit--time or number
of word sets.
