Hi list. Thanks for your thoughts on this issue, they're much appreciated. Julia On 04/08/2011 4:25 AM, Gary Petraccaro wrote:
If they're library copies, try buying used. If they're the rare, extremely tight paperback book try two-page mode. The one book I saw like this was paperback and wouldn't scan in any mode, but that was 11 versions of K1000 back. I've never seen another book like that.If it's a hardback and tight, I don't know of anything that will work. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Julia" <julia.kulak@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 03, 2011 5:52 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] the unscannable bookHi list. I'm wondering if any of you have managed to scan books that you at first thought were unscannable. The examples that come to mind are my Hilda Lewis requests. Both Jamie and Helen seem to be able to scan them, granted, they have vision, and I do not. Any advice on how to overcomethis seemingly insurmountable obstacle would be welcome. I'm referring tobooks with little to no margins.
