[bksvol-discuss] Re: uploaded The Wild Island

It wasn't bad. There were a few places where words
were run together but not too many, and toward the end
of the book there were a few minor scannos. It was
interesting to read, and so I didn't mind making
changes as I went, but as I said it wasn't too bad.
I've seen a lot worse.

I find that sometimes I have to increase the size of
the text. Some of the fonts put the words so close
together that I have to trust the spell-checker to
tell me when there is no space or increase to 125 or
even 150 so I can read without wondering. I've been
volunteering for bookshare for about 3 years, and not
until sometimes in the past year, maybe even the past
few months, did I discover, because of what someone
said, that Word has a way to enlarge the print without
my having to blacken everything and actually change
the font. I've learned so much about using Word
through bookshare. smile
