Dear Explorers,
Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Suman Kanuganti,
Aira’s founder and President, throughout the last few years. Suman’s enthusiasm
and inclusive vision of a technology has given Aira a unique position. As we
enter our fifth year, so many of the goals Suman has voiced to you will be
realized.
We are writing you today to share that Suman will soon formally depart the
company as an employee to begin work on a personal passion project. While he
pursues this, Suman will continue to work closely with Aira and maintain an
active voice in the community.
“After investing the last 5 years of my life into building this company from
the ground up, I am most proud of the lasting work we have done to create
enriching experiences, an incredible team, process and mindset at Aira that is
without peer,” said Kanuganti. “The team with leaders Paul Schroeder and Amy
Bernal will certainly thrive under the excellent leadership of CEO Mike
Randall, and talented group of Aira Agents led by Erin Sanborn who work
tirelessly to deliver those magical Aira moments. I’m thankful for the
opportunity to continue my participation on the Aira Board and as an
entrepreneur, excited to start a new journey.”
We understand that many of you have appreciated Suman’s views on technology and
how it can promote inclusiveness. That attitude is alive and well within Aira.
The strong team Suman has built over our first four years is ready to continue
the mission. We are pleased to continue to work with our partners in the blind
and low vision community to make our products and service the best it can be.
We hope you will join us in continuing the energy Suman has put into Aira and
wish him all the best in his new endeavors.
