Hi,
I ordered a new 12.9 silver 512GB iPad Pro today. Merry Christmas to me! Many
of the reasons he returned his are reasons I wanted mine. I have an iPad Mini 4
not a MacBook and I use a Bluetooth Keyboard by Logitech not a Folio keyboard.
So I am transitioning from an entirely different place and I work from an
completely differently as in my ebb and flow of productivity is entirely
different. I depend on touching the screen now and then. And I like moving the
keyboard around and would not like the type of setup that he describes at all.
In fact my case is not a folio and I do not like those types of cases in the
least.
When I decided to move up from the Mini 4, I researched the possibility of a
MacBook Pro or an iPad Pro and decided to go for the new iPad Pro. I am already
familiar with the OS. And I already own many of the productivity tools that I
will be using. Even with the 7 core GPU and the 8 core processor I am sure I
will be able to find some exciting new tools that will allow my creativity a
and productivity to flourish with my desired work space requirements.

Subject: [blind-philly-comp] AppleVis Blog Published a User's Thoughts on the
New iPad Pro
The Applevis blog published an interesting piece discussing one user's thoughts
on using the new iPad Pro with VoiceOver, along with the optional folio
keyboard. I won't paste the contents here but I'll provide a link for those who
may want to read it. I'll provide some spoilers and say that the user returned
it within 48 hours and he did so for the same reasons for why I probably
wouldn't buy it, as much as I'd love to own an iPad. The main issue he had with
it was the poor keyboard support offered by VoiceOver. He would find himself
needing to use the touch screen to navigate to a certain spot within the app
due to its poor keyboard support. This problem is not necessarily with a
particular app but is with iOS itself. This is really a shame. It would have
been nice if Apple included the same level of keyboard support with iOS as they
do with the Mac. Until this problem is properly addressed I don't think that
the iPad is going to be a good computer replacement or even a good backup
computer for people who rely heavily on the keyboard.
