Hi,

I'm not the least bit surprised. Apple products are more costly and
sometimes the user base is not as wide so it can be difficult to find local
support, however, even back in the eighties when computers were young I knew
my Apple was superior in quality and so was the support. I had my first
computer for eleven years and only gave it up when I could no longer justify
using an apple two E enhanced when 90% of the world was using Windows 95.
But that thing was practically indestructible.

As far as support goes, even the iPhone support is some of the best support
I have seen out there. Last ear we got two identical phones shipped here to
the house and someone, not me, accidentally locked them up. The phone
company said we needed to go to Tampa and get new sim cards. However, an
Apple support dude very patiently talked the individual who locked up the
phones through some complicated technical steps which took about an hour per
phone and got both phones working without leaving the house. I have two
laptops right now running Magic and Jaws and I have an SMA on both for
several years paid up. But if I had the money in hand I would go out today
and get at least one good Mac.

My only hesitation is I love Office 365 and it is still coming into its own
for the Mac and for at least right now I don't know if local support for the
Mac is as readily available as the Geek squad. Of course from my experience
it probably would not be as necessary.
