Firefox 39 is now out with a nice addition to how we access reader view. As a reminder, reader view is where you can view a Web site containing an article or a blog post and have the extraneous links removed, providing mostly text. With version 39, you can get to the Reader view by pressing alt-V, followed by the letter R to open reader view. To exit, the same key sequence should do the trick or just search for the "close reader view" button on the page, which is probably going to be the first button, so pressing the letter B should get your screen reader of choice to quickly jump to it. I love this view and am so thrilled that we have it in Firefox. To make it complete, I'd like to see a hotkey, such as ctrl-shift-R, used to toggle it on and off as we can with the Mac. I will eventually suggest this on their issue tracker, where you can report bugs and suggest feature enhancements.
