I received the following press release, and thought some of you might find
this helpful.

Translateka.com - internet dictionaries for visually impaired people

Our service Translateka.com was created in order to meet the needs of
visually impaired people. The internet portal is a collection of 20
bilingual online dictionaries which include five languages - Polish,
English, German, French and Spanish.

We encourage you to test our dictionaries. Everyone who signs up by May 31st
2015, will automatically receive a full 3-month access. Free of charge and
not-binding.

Our service is directed to blind and partially sighted people who want to
develop their knowledge and language skills. Translateka.com is created for
adults, as well as pupils, students and all those who want to expand their
foreign language vocabulary.

The website is designed in accordance with the availability principle and is
compatible with screen readers. We prepared a dedicated voice version of the
service for those who are already bored with monotonous voice of the speech
synthesizer.

The original system supporting vocabulary memorization is an interesting
addition. Thanks to the special system of repetitions, available in the part
"Learning", you can translate the words, learn and memorize them at the same
time.

Translateka.com allows you to find a specific entry quickly and efficiently.
You will also be able to listen to its pronunciation. On the website you can
move using the TAB key, but in order to accelerate and facilitate the use of
the service, numerical shortcuts have been assigned to some functions. By
pressing one keyboard key you can listen to the recording, add words to your
learning material, clear the sections or change the direction of
translation. The section for vocabulary learning is devised in a similar
way.

All the recordings are prepared by native speakers in order to facilitate
the learning process and familiarize you with the correct pronunciation in
an easy and effective manner.

The website is available in five languages.

You are welcome to use our dictionaries!
