This is a follow-up to my last message regarding using JAWS with a touch screen
on Windows 10.
I am now able to get the on-screen keyboard to appear. I am noticing some
problems, however, and wonder if others have noticed this, as well.
First, I always have to double-tap the letter in order for it to be entered.
What I want is for the letter or character to be entered as soon as I lift
my finger off of the screen. I have found the setting which adjusts this mode
from within Settings Center but this setting is not being respected and I am
uncertain as to why.
Also, the characters and words are not being echoed as they are being entered,
in spite of the fact that I have it set to do so in Settings Center under the
Touch Navigation section. Does anybody know why this might be?
