Does anybody on this list use Audacity? I've wanted to use it for quite some
time to eventually record podcasts but I'm now working with it for a totally
different purpose. I need to use it to record output from my computer's sound
card to record some speech samples, as I'm trying to diagnose some changes made
to ESpeak between the current version of NVDA and a test version. The
developers of NVDA are asking for some recording samples. I have figured out
how to get Audacity to record from my computer's sound card but what I want to
do is to first go into a window with a test document, begin recording from that
particular window, have NVDA read the document and then stop the recording,
rather than needing to alt-tab into the Audacity window to begin and end
recording. If this can be done, I'd appreciate knowing how to do it. To Lisa
Salinger, if you use Audacity and were ever considering producing a tutorial
I'd be your first customer.
