Hi.

I am fumbling my way through Audacity, which appears to be a very accessible audio editor. I am having difficulty in performing what should be a very simple task.

I have a track with just a small portion of audio up the end of the track. What I want to do is to select that portion and then delete it so that it is not a part of the track. I do see options in the Edit menu under select which seem to indicate this, such as Select right of track. When I choose that option and choose delete, the entire track seems to go away. I am sure the error is in what I'm doing and not with the program. If anybody is knowledgeable in this program I'd appreciate any tips.
