Subject: [WebAIM] Employment Opportunity at the American Foundation for the
Blind - Accessibility Engineer 1

The American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) has a long, proud history of
removing barriers, ensuring inclusion, and creating positive change in the world
for millions of people with vision loss. Yet, despite nearly a century of
progress, much work remains to ensure a level playing field for people who are
blind or visually impaired. Today's social and economic systems continue to
produce and perpetuate staggering inequalities among people with vision loss,
leading to higher levels of unemployment, increased isolation, lower graduation
rates, and poverty. AFB is committed to creating a more inclusive and just
society by mobilizing leaders and influencers, championing impactful policies
and practices, and promoting understanding of the most effective drivers
of change. Our vision is a world without limits, where people who are blind or
visually impaired are working, going to school and participating in community
life, unhindered by barriers.

Career Opportunity

AFB is seeking an Accessibility Engineer I. The successful candidate will be
responsible for managing all AFB CSG delivery efforts-especially activities
designed to assess and improve the accessibility and usability of products,
technology, and digital content, and to help organizations develop policies,
governance, programs, and standard operating procedures that better support
accessibility and usability proactively as part of design and development
lifecycles
for AFB Consulting.  The position reports to the Chief Consulting Solutions
Officer.

Location: This is a national search with the ability to work remote.

For detailed information about this wonderful opportunity including how to
apply please visit the Job Listings page on AFB's website
