I decided to go with the Apple smart case, which is available on Amazon for
$78.00. I'm hearing that it actually offers more battery usage compared to the
Mophie case. My brother had used a case which I believe was from Trianium but I
read one review that indicated that its micro USB port would not permit data
transfers with a PC where another review indicated that data transfers using
this port was possible. Obviously, there's a limited amount of possibilities
for data transfers with an iPhone but I do occasionally back up data using
iTunes and I didn't want to take a chance in not having this capability without
the need to remove it from the case every time I wanted to back up my phone.
I've also read that the grip on Apple's silicon case is a bit nicer and that it
integrates well with iOS. I want both good battery life as well as simplicity
and it sounds like the Apple smart case will offer both.

Hello. A few years ago I asked for recommendations for a good case for an
iPhone 8. Robin Frost recommended a case from a company I had never heard of
and it wasn't one that I would have normally tried sight unseen. However, I
take her recommendations and opinions seriously and I decided to order it and
it's been the only case I've ever wanted and one that I've happily used since
with no regrets. However, I'm now in need of a good battery case for my iPhone
8 and am once again asking for recommendations. I've pretty much narrowed
things down to either a Mophie Juice Pack or an Apple smart case as they seem
to offer a huge amount of charge time. However, I'm open to other
recommendations as well as any warnings as to why these choices might not be
the most ideal.
