Dear all,
As most of you will know, its Berts 85th birthday this year, on the
16thDecember.
It will be celebrated in Bad Reichenhall, a town near his home.
This is a great occasion to think of his achievements, and of how he and his
work have touched and even changed our lives. Moreover, an initiative has
sprung up in Switzerland to nominate Bert for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Without any attachment to the outcome,
it seems to be a nice birthday present to contribute to.
Whatever youd like to contribute, birthday wishes, a thank you note or an
appraisal or even a formal letter to the Nobel Peace Prize committee,
please send it, or any inquiries you might have, to the coordinator,
lovely Dr. Barbara Padberg. She has recently joined CT.
