It is wonderful to read about your peer groups that are also open to the
public and therefore more like training groups. The alternative that I
would love to participate in is more like a peer to peer gathering for
practitioners and advanced students only. It would not be open to the
inexperienced general public, further reducing the risk of potential
liability as well as enabling explorations at a different pace.
Please let me know if you are aware of any such groups in Australia or in
Europe.

We ask people to book in advance, but they don't always do so. We don't
think about pre-screening but we do manage the risk by requiring each
participant to complete an agreement prior to the workshop's commencement,
and we ensure each facilitator has their own insurance. Also, the
strength of participation by other members of our peer group has provided
the responsible facilitator with another type of safety net.

Develop a stronger sense of the POOL community¹ and provide a
stronger
experience of shared learning and training.
3. General guidelines for the workshops
Each workshop is to be managed and conducted by one facilitator, or
two
facilitators working as a team.
All participating facilitators will be involved in allocating
facilitators to scheduled dates.
Each workshop will be held on a Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
Each workshop to be held at 200 Alma Rd St Kilda.
The seven dates booked for 2013 are: 17 Mar, 26 May, 7 Jul, 4 Aug, 15
Sep, 27 Oct, 24 Nov.
4. Obligations of participating facilitators
Attend at least two workshops in addition to the one they run.
Recruit at least one person to at least three workshops.
Ensure each participant in their workshop completes the pre-workshop
agreement.
Be responsible for the venue on their day, for confirming the booking,
making payment, collecting keys, cleaning up,etc.
Hold their own professional indemnity insurance.
To issue receipts to participants of the workshop you are running
(with
or without GST, depending on personal situation).
In the event that the series makes a financial loss, to equally share
in making good that loss. (We are starting 2013 with over $800 in
surplus
workshop funds, so the risk of this is minimal.)
Contribute at least one article to the blog managed by Hania.
5. Marketing
The series will be named the POOL Systemic Constellation Workshop
Series.
(reminder: POOL = Peer Orders Of Love)
All facilitators share the responsibility of recruiting participants
to
all workshops.

All participating facilitators are encouraged to write at least one
article for the blog during the year.
A central email address will continue to be used to help coordinate

6. Financial
Participant fees for 2013 to be set at $50 per person.
Each facilitator can make their own decision regarding discounts for
their workshop.
No bulk discounts will be offered for people attending multiple
workshops.
Rent is fixed at $189.50 per workshop, including public liability
insurance.
Each facilitator is expected to take $20 from the fees to cover
refreshments.
All monies received to be receipted by the person running the workshop
on the day.
Surplus funds generated by the workshop series will be used to promote
future workshops.
Surplus funds are to be kept by the POOL group in a Workshop fund,
separate to the current Membership fund.

Subject: [ConstellationTalk] A Question on Starting a Circle
Dear All,
I have a question in regards to starting a constellation circle. A
group of
my peers - who completed the facilitator training and have done some
limited
constellation work - and myself are starting a constellation circle in
our
town. We already have two established constellation circles in town with
long-term experienced facilitators who book in advance and charge fairly
hight prices. Our vision is to offer constellation services at low cost
to
the wider community (basically to cover the cost of the rental), and to
be
able to practice facilitating.
The initial vision we had was that anybody can come on a walk-in basis,
at a
cost of about $10-15 - the cost is the same for everybody, including
those
who might have a constellation. When people come, two assigned
facilitators
for the evening will lead the circle and offer constellations. Whoever
raised their hands, would have a chance for a constellation.
The concern raised by some members of our group was that we are running
a
risk of having a potential client to be a "handful" that we will not be
able
to cope with (and have a potential liability) - and that we should
pre-screen (interview on a phone) and book constellation clients.
Perhaps it is a legitimate concern? My feeling is that it takes away
from
the free flow and availability of this work that was originally
envisioned.
We would very much appreciate advice from this group - it seems that
people
here have a lot of experience in starting constellation circles.
