Dear Bruce
I am glad you are excited about this work and your findings.
To me setting up a constellation is always an experiment. Everything we add to
the field changes the field. Whatever we add we have to test. Just naming
something as a Resource does not necessarily make it so. Specially when we are
dealing with ancestors. Also many times when a constellation gets more involved
what we have originally set up might no longer be present and might have
shifted into something more meaningful to the field.
The resources we set up for the client need to work for the client and that
might be different from the facilitators intentions. I would say the most
important aspect is to test what we set up and not be attached to our ideas and
concepts of what should be rather then what is.
Yours,
Elmar

Hi everyone,
I wanted to report on some experiments with “Resource-Rich Fields” in
Constellations, that have led to ways to deepen and expand the
Constellations process even more fully.
(sorry if this is hard to read, Yahoo Mail was not cooperating well, lots of
spaces in this post....)
In July, I described an expanded framing of the Constellations process. Here
is a brief summary in red- more details available at Group Collective
Resourcing
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iBoht5onk0GXovvTmM_2IJH76p2bhgnLaQVlGN1ti3Q>
1) A figure-ground reversal of the intention of the constellation, and
of who the 'client' was. The client is "Evolution" (The Emerging Future), and
the community gathers in service to that
The intention of this process was to equally serve the embodiment and access
to resources for the community - in particular, for the representatives. The
experience of representatives IS the intended product of the constellation,
as much as the experience of the “client”
2) We acknowledge and place representatives for
transpersonal and archetypal resources
We put in LOTS of resources.
These are “Resource-Rich fields” that are being setting up, using 4-7
resources,
inspired by this image that Beth Tener has drawn, titled The Big Picture
http://www.serviceoflife.info/socialalchemy/virtualcomposter.JPG ;
<http://www.serviceoflife.info/socialalchemy/virtualcomposter.JPG>
As a medical doctor, Resource-Rich Field reminds me of a stem cell infusion,
or an injection of Platelet-Rich Plasma into an injured muscle or joint to
speed healing.
3) Representatives are encouraged to open to and embody the energies
that are running through them in representation and keep those channels open
after the Constellation is over.
The representatives for Resources were encouraged to tune and feel what was
right
for them, reminding them that they did not need to release their
representation, but could invite it to continue to dwell and deepen in them,
even after the constellation was over.
We tried this a few more times during a two day experimental gathering in New
York City in October.
A few of these resource-rich constellations went as before - lovely
experience for the client, and, several representatives had powerful
luminous experiences that they never had before, which now could serve an a
new resource for their life….
Two of these constellations did NOT go as planned.
I set up one resource-rich field - not using the image, but just the client
and three of her
resources, and the darn resources did not cooperate!
The client's Spirituality, turned out to be a fundamentalist dry,
left-brained knowing, without warmth or connection to her.We brought in some
Another one of her resources
was equally disappointing. It was just flat.
We brought in a few other resources, some masculine energy, two times. Each
time something good
began, and then the field would collapse, sometimes because of influence of
“resources”.
I was thrown by this,
was not even aware of that dynamic until the very end of the constellation,
which I ended when it got stuck and stayed that way.
I will say more about this after I describe another parallel experience.
The next evening, we
set up Beth Tener’s image, with 7 resources, exactly like I described in the
above link http://www.serviceoflife.info/socialalchemy/virtualcomposter.JPG ;
<http://www.serviceoflife.info/socialalchemy/virtualcomposter.JPG>
I was again quite startled by what happened.
Of the three with the hearts in the center, only one was warm and loving.
One pulled away and said “I feel disconnected”.
The third said “I feel
betrayed by that second one. I cannot trust him”
Resourced Ancestors was a huge resource, and offered some profound teachings
that were new to me,
and I hope to share in the future with permission…
Earth was present.
But one of the resources just sat on the outside of the circle, nearly lay
down, depressed..
Looked almost like someone who had died…
Later on, a resource that felt to me like Feminine Empowerment got into a
conflict with Resourced Ancestors,
and every time that happened, the client’s symptom moved back into contact
with
the client.
This one ended up with a powerful and moving resolution, after I realized
that the Resourced Field was not resourced enough to do the work for the
facilitator, and to let go of my initial
game plan.
The two not-so-resourced in the center began to acknowledge and relate to
each other, started to trust, but were not ‘cozy warm’ by the end
For a while after this, I was surprised, and then realized - “Duh, Bruce, the
Field will do what
it needs to, and show what it needs to.”
Just because I put in a resource, does NOT mean that it will behave as one.
After some conversations with Alissa Fleet and Laure Porche about this, I
realized
something else, which is actually why I am writing this post.
We often see ancestors as the ‘central factor’ in Constellation work.
We put in ‘other
resources’ to support the ancestors, to restore the flow of life and love.
I am realizing that we can re-frame this.
1-While Ancestors take the central stage in traditional Constellation work,
because they were completely missing from Western formulations, and were
needing to be included, ancestors are only one of MANY dimensions of
resources.
(Beth’s image makes this very clear. We often survive without much ancestral
support because of some
of these other resources)
2- ANY Resource can contain an entanglement
We put ancestors and family in the foreground in this work, traditionally,
and it
does have huge power.
And, it is also the case that we can also have entanglements:
-with Spirit because of family trauma,
-with Earth because of a natural disaster
-with Land because of Forced Migration,
-with Guides because of some spiritual trauma, etc...
-or, because of cultural traumas
These might cause us to close our access to these other resources, and we
lose out on their capacity to flow through us and into this world….
as a facilitator, I may take for granted that these are Resources, not
realizing that there may be trauma traces limiting access or flow….
3- I am assuming, because it is too early to state definitively from my
experience, that ANY
dimension of resource can be worked with, through Constellations, to untangle
it, and allow/release a more full flow of life and love into our being
In the previous examples, had I realized this, I would have worked with the
Spirituality Resource, perhaps put in reps for different components of it,
culture, family, etc, to
help it disentangle.
In the second constellation, many of the resources spontaneously became
animated as the deep conflict between Resourced Ancestors and Feminine
empowerment/autonomy found a
loving resolution. And, had I been aware of this ‘resources can be entangled’,
I believe I could have been more efficient in this…
Ok. I will pause here, excitedly, happy to share this with you, and hoping
that this is of some value to you and your work
I see real value in doing some Constellation experiments around
“Healing our relationship with Spirit”
“Healing our relationship with Land and Earth”
“Healing our relationship with <any other source of joy, light, nourishment
that has been shut down out of trauma, or out of love and loyalty>”
Looking forward to doing more experiments in this area. If you have done
some, please keep us posted. I will do the same.
More to say, but this is a lot for now…..
Take good care, and best wishes to you all,
Bruce
