I SO appreciate what you're doing. I would be open to doing some research
to fix this.
I know that editors get notifications of changes, but I wonder if they also
have ways of automating the changes. You could have a little war of bots
constantly editing and re-editing, I suppose. It might be fun to have
someone on our side willing to set that up!
Yesterday, I was part of an experiment to introduce constellation work to
systems thinkers. These folks were all involved either in
organizational consulting or social and environmental change work.
I'm happy to say they were all very open to the work, but a theme came up a
few times: that they work on issues that impact vulnerable populations, but
don't have any diversity at the level at which they're working. In other
words, these stakeholders aren't represented in their organizations.
How is this relevant to this discussion?
Because we identified how the epistemology/ways of knowing of these
organizations are exclusionary. Like Wikipedia, they don't even acknowledge
as valid other ways of knowing.
Meanwhile, we know our work demonstrates, reliably and repeatedly,
constellations as a valid way of knowing.
What was exciting to me is that not only did the work do in two hours what
someone said would have taken 6 months of consulting to accomplish - but it
also holds the potential to do what these organizations have
consistently failed to do over their lifetimes: create a new culture of
knowing that can be accessed by all people. It does not privilege money,
race, class, language or intellect.
In my work with educators, and my mission to bring
constellations-as-inquiry into pedagogy, it holds the potential
to radically reorganize the classroom. The form of intelligence that allows
a person to accurately tune into the Field - imagine if that was valued!
So, I hate that those Wikipedia editors are doing that (what do they say
about acupuncture? Homeopathy?), but I am inspired that the work itself is
so transformative that it can speak for itself as its audience grows.

Wikipedia is notorious for being against anything its editors consider
“pseudoscience.” In many cases, that has actually been really helpful.
Having said that, as the article above notes, it has at times drifted into
demagoguery. Constellations has clearly been identified as (dangerous)
pseudoscience. They are unwilling to have a “pro and con” perspective on it
as part of their entry. Unless some of us become as dedicated editors of
Wikipedia as their regular editing “crew,” we have little chance of
updating the entry and maintaining it.
Again, though, thanks! If anyone can figure out how to balance this
unfortunate aspect of Wikipedia (which I otherwise quite like and respect—I
use it a lot), that would be terrific!
