Hello Anngwyn,

Though I read CTalk regularly, I only picked up your invitation to your blog when you announced the Japan diaspora post today. Fascinating. News to me. The speculation about an elite diaspora is not surprising, to me. Your other Japan-related posts are also very good. I had not seen the speculation about A-bomb research, but find it very plausible. And needless to say, your entire blog looks first- rate and leading-edge, I'll be reading lots more.

(A technical comment: on the Murakami in Spain piece, you listed the translator but not the original source, about which I am curious.)

I lived in Japan from 1980 to 2000 and since 1985 I have been an active Japanese-to-English translator (which I am "supposed" to be doing at this moment instead of rooting around in cyberspace). I trained in SCW from 2005 in Santa Fe where I live, and I lead group and private FC. No plans at this time to take it to Japan, though I do go there sometimes. Are you in touch with SCW facilitators there?

Do you have a special interest or some experience in Japan, other than the trauma and global dimensions of Fukushima?

Thanks for all you do.
