Thanks Dan and everyone,
Wonderful thread! So are we to believe the world is still FLAT because
Pfizer/Ted tells us so… Even Einstein stated very clearly he wasn’t in his
right mind when he developed his Theory of Relativity. Today he’s be medicated
to save himself from is delusions of attempting to deduct a grand unified field
theory? IT just shows how 1 dimensional the establishment is, no different than
Hitler 3rd Reich deciding who was Aryan enough to live in his demented utopia.
We know how that ended.
I think it’s best to include their myopic view full well knowing they have
1/10th of what they think they know…. We have years and millions of conscious
experiences to the contrary. I see their regime is failing badly and many I see
In LA want to stay away from toxic drugs or heal the wounds that lead to even
needing them… Anyone can have their drugs as we’re not Doctors AND have an
amazing, transformative Constellation healing experience as well.. I think it
was said “Genius is being able to hold opposite views simultaneously” We all
fit under that banner for sure…..
At my 2008 training with Bert in Austria… I had the privilege of watching
Bert set up his own Constellation (with us) on the Future of Constellation’s in
the World to have us all have a sneak peek to learn from. It was the last thing
we did at our training….. I still get tears remembering it to this day. I felt
this work and Clients and facilitators may move into a more spiritual realm in
the future… Many reps flocked to This 1 rep put in as Future and Bert’s rep
and his old gang watched with smiles (in the background) as the Field moved so
fluidly to its next level… We could get real Christian here and say “forgive
them they know NOT what they do” All we need to do is stay in integrity and
hold even those who disagree with unconditional love. Bringing light to those
not seeking it is challenging but no one can contain consciousness…. It is free
for all to experience no matter how they get there. Life has a funny way of
working and breaking down what was thought to be true. I feel we all should
stay the course and not even need main stream approval…. As Kevin Costner
stated in Field of Dreams “If we build it they will come”
A sincere Namaste to ALL the courageous souls taking a stand for what’s NEW.
Happy Spring from La La Land… Gary Stuart

Good conversation. Glad to kick it off.
Lawrence asked the question directly: Of what use is the approval of mainstream
science for constellations work? Others point out correctly that the dreamy
landscape of Constellations can easily co-exist with the concrete and steel
provided by our science and technology. Why devote energy to a conflict? Can we
Constellators pursue our art and let the scientists pursue their technologies?
A lot probably depends on geography and culture. I live in Boston, MA USA.
There are 4.6 million people in the metro area. 10% of the population takes
psychiatric medications. 25% of college students have a mental health diagnosis
for which they are medicated.
Pfizer is a corporate sponsor of TED Talks and the manufacturer of Ativan,
Xanax, Zoloft and many other best-selling psychiatric medications. The
psychiatric medication industry depends on consciousness = brain. Depression,
anxiety, etc. are now classified as brain diseases. The medications fix what is
wrong with the brain. That is their premise. If it is disproven, then many of
the 460,000 people in the Boston area who ingest these chemicals may look more
closely at non-medication treatments.
For me, the answer to Lawrence’s question is we do not need the approval of
mainstream science. However, what the Sheldrake-TED controversy shows is that
we have their active and aggressive opposition. TED took down the Sheldrake
talk because Pfizer and other corporate sponsors pressured them to suppress
content which is bad for their business. In this atmosphere, it is difficult
for Constellations to gain acceptance.
We can content ourselves to avoid conflict, accept what is, and work only with
the trickle of people who find their way to us. However, every Constellation I
do inspires me to make the experience more widely available. I yearn for the
day when a person who is feeling crushed under the weight of dark emotions and
dangerous impulses can be referred by their physician for a Constellation
instead prescribed a toxic chemical which they will likely have to take for the
rest of their lives.

Hi Dan and other members
Buckminster fuller says 'you never change things by fighting the existing
reality, to change something build a new model that makes the old model
obsolete'
Maybe the attempts to date to deliver constellation work in the
psychotherapeutic model is the dilemma, a bit like the inventors of the
internal combustion engine attempting to fit their device to the horse. They
needed a new vehicle for their engine and invented the automobile.
I appears that constellation work may need a new vehicle .. then what Phizer
and friends think or don't think will be irrelevant.
One of the possible options is to create a series of festivals where
constellation work, in its various form is the theme ... the festival may
includes music dance theatre meditation in a context of joy, happiness,
community, intimacy belonging etc.
The festival ' The Heart of Life', might be a good name for it, would be
created with view of attracting thousands of people and would probably run
for 4 to 7 days
Burning Man, Rainbow Serpent and the Boom festival in Portugal are but three
of the myriad of events that happen globally each year
My partner Janne Martinengo and I have a similar dilemma with another branch
of our work, and, we are currently investigating the festival style option in
taking the work to a new level.
I think if we insist on containing constellation work to a facilitator
sitting in a circle with 20 or so people, constellation work will remain the
worlds best kept secret.
with respect and love

the "consciousness and mental illness industry", at least in North
America, we constellate with blinkers on rather than being more fully
open to the knowing Field. We have hard evidence that pharmaceutical
approaches fail to heal the increasing numbers of depressed and anxious.
Indeed, at present if you are not depressed or anxious, you are probably
not paying attention. Which does not mean we have to be burdened by the
pain of the world or blissed out because we know we are in right
mind/paradigm/worldview/practice...
I work with several young entrepreneurs in the Caribbean involved in
putting on Ted/X conferences from which the Talks emerge. All say it is
difficult to keep local more Field/interconnected perspectives when
dealing with the emerging corporate structure. They try not to become
self-selecting on this basis. We can learn from this.
What this conversation may do, is hone our own community sense of
moving toward more inclusive paradigms. These need to include all that
gave us life, our ancestors, the more-than-human world, bacteria,
amoeba, and the dynamics of the emergent cosmos amongst them. Any
paradigm too caught in fundamentalisms (splitting), in western or
scientific dominance (maintained hierarchy), or in blindness around the
shadows of corporatism (ego/shadow), will flounder. I like Tom Berry and
Brian Swimme's phrase (The Universe Story), "creative disequilibrium";. I
agree that we don't need "social/scientific acceptance" and we do need
to be more aware of oppression/exclusion from public media/voice. What
we need is to increase access to constellations.. to consider it more as
a calling than a business, a Spiritual healing practice rather than a
career, an emergent story with profound effects rather than scientific
'facts'...and to learn to hold the tensions, the both/and, the
inevitable conflicts that are visible in systems as they transform
toward greater complexity and inclusivity.

A lot probably depends on geography and culture. I live in Boston,

For me, the answer to Lawrences question is we do not need the
approval of mainstream science. However, what the Sheldrake-TED
controversy shows is that we have their active and aggressive
opposition. TED took down the Sheldrake talk because Pfizer and other
corporate sponsors pressured them to suppress content which is bad for
their business. In this atmosphere, it is difficult for Constellations
to gain acceptance.
We can content ourselves to avoid conflict, accept what is, and work
only with the trickle of people who find their way to us. However,
every Constellation I do inspires me to make the experience more
widely available. I yearn for the day when a person who is feeling
crushed under the weight of dark emotions and dangerous impulses can
be referred by their physician for a Constellation instead prescribed
a toxic chemical which they will likely have to take for the rest of
their lives.

Dear Eimear,
I totally agree with your proposition of inclusive paradigms including all
that gave us life, our ancestors, the more-than-human world, bacteria,
amoeba, and the dynamics of the emergent cosmos amongst them.
Doing so, we observe that our society is dependent on Big Pharma. People
are not capable anymore to deal whit their griefs and sorrows. People
aren't connected anymore, not with their ancestors, not with their own soul.
The beautiful thing about constellations is that it connect us not only
during constellation, but it connect us also in daily live and helps us to
deal with daily feelings and emotions.

Hi all
We have now reached the tenth anniversary of Constellation Talk. I thought
it was a good opportunity to begin a reflection on where we have come from,
how we are doing and where we are going.
The very first message of this group was posted on February 15 2003,when
the group was started by me for people in Australia and New Zealand. It was
a natural place for such a group to start. We here in the south are so far
away from everyone else in our vast sparsely populated island continent of
Australia with the distant islands of New Zealand. We here are also very
long distances away from each other. So this group was designed to help us
to overcome this geographical isolation.
Somehow by the end of April 2003 the group transmogrified into an
international group. Over the years this group has been through a number of
distinct phases of development as it has gotten bigger and as we have had
to navigate our way through various controversies. We seem to have matured
in a good way through these processes. I have done my best as group founder
and moderator to shepherd it through. I have tried to maintain a culture of
transparency and openness to different viewpoints whilst supporting
respectful communication and severely limiting the use of this group for
the purposes of promotions or advertising. Sometimes some people have been
very unhappy with me but generally people seem quite happy and if voting
with your feet counts we now have 861 members from all around the globe.
Even with the advent of a number of constellation face book pages and
blogs, this group still remains strong. Nonetheless I don't expect it to
last forever. It will last as long as people find it helpful in a way that
works better than other alternatives. When it is meant to finish it will.
Meanwhile it still seems to be quite vibrant and lively. Any comments about
this -positive or negative or any suggestions for improvement are welcome.
If suggestions are made I would appreciate if people would consider how
easy they might be to implement and how much work might be involved. Also
it is worthwhile considering if you support the culture created here and to
consider the impact your suggestions may have on that as well.
I am looking forward to some interesting responses on our tenth anniversary
Cheers
and
Hasta la vista

Hello all,
I am an avid reader, first time writer here. I am a systems therapist in
private practice who has been doing Constellation Workshops for a number of
years. I am giving a retreat for social workers who work in a home-based
palliative care setting. I would like to introduce Constellation work to
them during the retreat. The theme of the day is "Staying in Right
Relationshhip", and I was wondering if there were any creative exercises
that I might use to do so. My original thought was to use it to problem
solve some of the places where they get stuck in their work as they have to
negotiate between patients, their families, the medical staff, the pastoral
staff and the administration of a large organization. Any other ideas,
exercises, or precautions (!) would be appreciated.
With gratitude for all I learn from all of you,

work
to palliative care Social Workers
Welcome to CT Linda as an active contributor
I'm sure you will get lots of good responses to this request.
Instead of suggesting exercises at this stage I would just like to suggest
some simple underlying principles from which you can invent or assess
exercises.
First your social workers need to find a good place in relation to death
and to physical suffering - both the patient's and their own.
Then they need to find a good place in relationship to the idea of
helping.
Guni Baxa developed some nice exercises around the orders of helping in
this regard. This includes having a good place in relation to the
patient's
family of origin and to their own family of origin.
Then they need a good place in relation to the patients intimate carers
which may include spouses, parents, children, siblings and friends.
Finally
they need a good place in relation to other employed cares such as
doctors,
nurses, other allied health staff, cleaners etc
Of course finding a good place means finding the right physical position
in
constellation terms. It also means finding the right attitude in terms of
orders i.e. who comes first.
I hope this is helpful
Cheers

Hello Everyone -
For those who have not seen the news, a controversy erupted between the
organizers of TED Talks and Rupert Sheldrake. It has been active for about
a
month and comes to a level of completion on 14 April with what is not being
called exTEDx West Hollywood.
It is relevant to the Constellations community because two essential
components of the Constellation process are rejected as illusory by the
mainstream of scientific psychology. The bedrock premise of modern
psychology is that consciousness is product of brain function. According to
this model, everything that can be thought, felt, conceived, or done by a
human being originates in the electrochemical operations of their brains.
Accepting this model as fact means that representatives in a Constellation
can only access information present in their own brain. They know nothing
and cannot possibly know anything about a stranger's family members.
Additionally, Hellinger's concepts of Conscience and Orders of Love,
however
they are restated, are acquired cultural beliefs. A grandchild cannot be
entangled with the fate of a lost great-uncle whose existence is otherwise
unknown by living relatives.
Sheldrake's theory of Morphic resonance can account for the phenomena of
representative perception and systemic entanglement. Here is the link to
his
talk on the subject which I turned into a YouTube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JydjryhEl5o.
In December, Sheldrake gave a TEDx talk in London about his book Science
Set
Free. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TerTgDEgUE.
As you can see from the YouTube title, TED censored the video and removed
it
from its YouTube channel on the grounds that it promoted pseudoscience.
That
is what ignited the controversy. The best summary with links to relevant
sites is Craig Weiler's blog. http://weilerpsiblog.wordpress.com/
In the fallout, TED escalated the controversy by withdrawing the license to
the TEDx West Hollywood event scheduled for 14 April and featuring Russell
Targ, Larry Dossey, Marianne Williamson and many others. Without the TED
license, the organizer, Suzanne Taylor, lost her venue. She has
successfully
found a new venue and the event is occurring as planned.
I feel that the Constellations community is inside this debate. On a daily
basis, I perceive dimensions of consciousness that cannot be solely created
by my own brain. Just yesterday, I worked with a woman whose ancestors are
Chinese. What I felt, saw and heard is beyond anything I know based on
personal experience. Later in the day, when doing a Constellation for
another woman, I said, "There's a third child with these two. She's from a
previous generation." The woman I was working with knew of no other missing
children. Then, minutes later, she remembered her grandmother's deathbed
confession which confirmed my sense. That's just yesterday.
The consciousness = brain model is a major barrier to Constellations
gaining
acceptance in mainstream medical and therapeutic settings. Franz Rupert's
response has been to delete the "spooky" elements, working only with the
client and the client's intention. He treats ancestors as mental
projections. This is effective in overcoming the barrier. I cannot adopt
this approach, because for me the ancestors are real and working with them
is the most important part of the Constellation.
The conclusion is I recommend members of our community watch the free live
stream of the 14 April West Hollywood event. Here is the link:

you are in the LA area, there are
still tickets available to attend in person.
