Dear Anna and all,
Thank you Anna so much for your eloquence; I am also one who understands why
this issue would not be perceived as suitable for this forum, and I find that
this does not sit well with me either. This work is such a powerful tool when
used in a therapeutic practice---the profound healing that is witnessed in
constellations, time after time, is something that inspires many therapists to
dedicate themselves to using systemic constellations as their primary healing
modality.
There are also some of us who are dedicated to this work who are not
practitioners or facilitators, and probably never will be. As one of those, I
participate in as many constellation events as I can; as the majority of these
are chronically under enrolled, especially among males, this is something I
can
do in pursuit of healing for myself and others. But I have been troubled over
the years with the feeling that this work has more potential that is not being
realized, at the same time that a systemic planetary crisis is becoming more
acute. While this work originated in the world of therapy, and it is a
beautifully effective modality, we are all global citizens in a global family
that is a part of this earth, whether we are therapists or not.
Perhaps in founding this group, it was never intended that addressing very
large
systemic issues would be appropriate, such as the conflict between Western
economics and being in a healthy, balanced relationship with Gaia. One could
add war, racism, and many other issues to this list of larger systemic issues.
I have appreciated Dan Booth Cohen's postings on racial issues and have had one
of my own constellations interface with a larger dynamic that he wrote about
recently.
I understand the vigilance demanded to keep this group from being distracted by
and protected from a variety of harmful and destructive influences. I think
Chris has done an absolutely superb job as moderator; where so many online
groups fail for one reason or another, CT stays focused and vibrant in
supporting this miraculous work. If it is decided that CT should be kept as a
focused professional forum, I will still enjoy being a member of this group. I
liked the question Anngwyn asked; are we a professional forum, a spiritual
collective, or some combination of both? Or are there other ways to frame this
discussion? Respectfully, Alan Roberson

Subject: [ConstellationTalk] Dr Emoto & Honouring the Mother
Dear All,I was touched by the inclusion of Dr Emoto's appeal for a global
consciousness for the injured waters of Fukushima, so that I not only observed
his request but copied the letter out of CTalk and forwarded it on elsewhere. I
can see why members and also Chris as moderator, would feel that this is not a
'systemic constellation' issue suitable for this forum, and certainly it isnt
couched in that 'language', so I wasn't surprised to see that happen. But what
I
have found is such a view hasn't sat well with me. In essence what Dr Emoto is
doing is offering us the sentences for acknowledging our collective
perpetration
and disrespect for our Mother - Gaia, so that we can be accountable
systemically
but also connect with the deeper truth of love and bonding for the source of
our
collective Life. Indigenous people understand the bond and the responsibility
that goes with the bond to our mother the Earth, somehow the 'western mind' as
Richard Tarnas refers to it, has lost this sense of connection and
accountability. The good news perhaps is that via a long and difficult route
the
western mind has come to something we refer to as 'quantum physics' which
brings
us to a world view not so disimillar to that understood by ancient and
indigenous peoples. The interconnectedness of everything, and our
accountability
collectively in systemic terms for the 'whole-being' of the organic system that
is Life on Earth. Our consciousness and intention really does make a
difference,
as it does in the space we create for a 'constellation'. Currently our
relationship with the Earth is more akin to a heavy infestation of scabies in
her skin that that of loving and respectful children, so I have no difficulty
in
'bowing down' in acknowledgement of my part in this and of my deep love and
respect for her capacity to give life (and to take it).
Respectfully,Anna
