I think if we use the yin & yang metaphor it is much more clear as both are
interconnected and moving as 1 constantly. At any time yin or yang could be
dominant or recessive disturbing the balance or evenly balanced in harmony
as well. The energetic polarity of spinning/moving through life together as
one with contrasting aspects give the wheel its power to spin? In reading
the TAO (The Ancient Ones?) God or the creative principle of the universe is
the feminine, Black, empty and formless giving rise to everything in
existence through non-action. I also see parallels in the Kabalistic beliefs
as well that the Kav (ray of light) piercing the dark void which helps the
feminine create all things. Sometimes, I think the microcosm of human
fertilization explains it all. The feminine, fertile, dark womb (EARTH) is
pierced by the light of the masculine sperm (HEAVEN) uniting with the egg as
1 in a new being created from 2 opposing but complimentary forces creating a
baby yin-yang. 1 + 1 = 3 The real holy trinity. I hope this adds to the

Bert's sentence is not correct usage of language perhaps because it is a
second language.
The second and third sentence seems to suggest his later personal
development.
We do not know if he was giving this as a phenomenological statement, or an
interpretive statement that caught on for its provocation.
