Jo,
I agree that it would be best if we all called it one thing, but what to call
it is a problem, and may vary by location and facilitator. I've called mine
Family Soul Healing / Family Constellations. When I use the word Constellations
alone, no one knows what that means and they relate it to Astrology, if
anything. But since that's what Hellinger calls it and the books are mostly
indexed under that title, I think we have to use it for consistency. The people
who have found me through my website have used Family Constellations to find
me. I think Orders of Love and Lovegroup are too new-age-y and not descriptive
of the process. I think as people get a good reputation and following, they
can call it anything and get people to come. I love the word Grow-shop, but
Workshop is a word which everyone knows. I'm in southern California and a
couple facilitators are beginning to have an established market in our area. I
would love to hear comments from established markets, and facilitators who have
waiting lists for their workshops.

Subject: [ConstellationTalk] Marketing
Hi Folks!
I wish to raise a basic issue associated with marketing.
From the research I've done on the Net and locally, I notice there's a range
of names that people call their groups or as a fall back position, call it
'family constellations'. In the absence of any progress on cohesive marketing
here in Australia, I created my own name 'LoveStream' and I know of another
here, 'Flow of Love'. Both very good I believe.
This disparity weakens our intentions and has the effect of competing against
each other - perhaps coming from a place of 'not enough'. I know we have a
premier service and there are plenty of seekers of pain relief. However, the
marketplace is highly competitive with few outstanding (effective) methods at
present. I believe this is changing as energy works and field conciousness
progress and of course 'new discoveries' emerge. Competition and confusion of
the populace will escalate.
I know that it would support and grow the work much more effectively if we
were to have even the smallest consistency and I believe it's time to work
together, at least in this small way in the interests of positioning our work
and growing the business.
My understanding is that the family constellation method was around pre-Orders
of Love and also is used by practitioners not conversant in the OoL.
My feeling now is to get behind the energetic strength and go with our
forebear in this work, Bert Hellinger. A suggestion to call our groups:
Orders of Love
With (facilitator's name)
This may be worth a constellation to see if there's strength in the OoL name.
Perhaps it's not very sexy, but ultimately we want to be of service to as
many people as possible, don't we? I acknowledge there will be some who wish
to distance themselves from the Hellinger name or to breakaway for other
reasons unknown to me.
We could endeavour to find or create a name that the vast majority can agree
on (daunting) and I proffer LoveStream to this end.
One other word I've put some thought to and I think would be useful to agree
on, is what we call the person requesting the constellation. I've seen
Bertold use 'constellator' which I quite like - nothing like a new word to get
attention. Previous to seeing this I've used 'convener'.
While I'm at it, can we come up with a different title to 'workshop' I use
'group'. How about 'growshop' 'shiftshop' 'loveshop' 'essenceshop'......
I'd really like some feedback especially reflections of more established
markets. Did you work together? and, Do you think it would have been easier
if you had all worked together?
Your success is my success.
Jo Fenwick
