Ill answer through the forum to share with all the members the information
and contribute to co-create together.
At the end of the reflections Im inserting the article. Maybe in this way
could be possible to read.
What I can share is the format and structure with we are doing this process:
1. We work in a mixed format: blind and self-management
constellation.
2. In the intention to have the purest process that we can,
only work with blind constellation format. ¿The reason? All of us belong to
this system, all of us have loyalties, judgments, ideas about what happen in
the social and political situations that we are exploring.
3. We are doing only self-management constellations. The
representative chooses an element of the system and then can go into the
constellation, or not, move with all freedom, express what they need, etc.
4. We are following, not leading, the constellation. The
elements goes into the constellation or not, according what they feel, some
of them remain seated during all the process, others go in and outside,
others lead the dynamic and call themselves missing elements.
5. At the end we ask to report each element how they feel
with what happened in the process.
6. We work only with representatives who have never had a
previous experience in constellations. ¿The reason? We observed that some
people who have a previous experience, could act drama, and in our
observations, disturb the process, because pulls the attention of the whole
process himself and loose the systemic dynamics. We have observed that
people with no previous experience shows the dynamics without drama.
7. What we see is not one element, or the dynamic between
some elements, what we see is the whole dynamic in the system, the emerging
property who this system has with all the links and elements who belongs
them.
8. The facilitator does not nothing, except be present, and
in some moments ask if something is missing or if some element needs
something.
9. We dont change anything, we dont do any intervention,
we are not trying to solve anything, we only see the pattern, the dynamic,
the missing element.
The client it completely responsible for what he does with the information
of the process. There are specialized consultants who support the client to
transform the information in actions, decisions, etc. For example how
transform the information into a communication campaign for the community.

Social Behavior and History (1)
Few years ago I received a phone call
- Katia del Rivero?
- Yes, May I help you?
- We have done a research on you, we have very good references and we have
a proposal: We would like you to hold a constellation for a community.
I smiled to myself. I remember that my answer had a rather sarcastic tone
that really covered a certain inner fear.
- Surely you did not do your job: I do not work in stuff related to social
processes. I am sorry, I can´t help you
The person who was on the phone asked me to, at least, have a coffee with
him in order to explore the possibilities and to learn about the nature of
the organization as well as to know about the kind of work they were asking
me to do.
I was persuaded by the philosophical value of the organization so I accepted
the job and immersed myself in exactly the kind of activity I have been
reluctant to do: a social process. This experience changed my assumptions of
social behavior, the configurations for social issues and my own
professional attitude towards my involvement in these subject matters.
When I started working on configurations I promised myself not to do
anything related to social processes, that is, configurations focused on
communities, countries or collective situations.
Reasons? This task scares me. I can notice the power within them compared to
my own sense of littleness and my inability to fully understand this force;
the only way I have been able to get it and to use it is by means of being
extremely careful and respectful whenever I have tried to apprehend it and
also by being very meticulous with every aspect of the process.
Social processes seemed to me a sort of playing God. I have only worked
with a kind of clientele who had a direct relationship with the subject
matter and solely in the aspect of the process where my client can influence
that is why I am very conscientious when it comes to choose to whom I work
and what kind of job I take with this methodology.
It was not among my choices to explore issues above the capability of
decision of an ordinary person, just for the sake of curiosity or because
the device is powerful or conveys something
, it did not seem right.
But, after our conversation, when this customer brought up a scenario where
a constellation could serve as a means to improve life conditions due to the
analysis of hierarchy and positions within the system in order to influence
the results as well as the ethic and value platform of the agency, I decided
to take the task.
So we were at a hotel, working on this process some weeks after. Our targets
were two communities of the same state which had completely different social
behaviors in spite of the joint efforts of government to include both
places.
One of these communities, identified as community A assumed itself as not
seen; they visualized themselves as The Ugly Duckling, according to
surveys.
The other one, identified as community B, geographically located at a
distance of 100 km from the first one, considered itself a thriving,
powerful village with a high level of sense of belonging.
Governmental agencies did not understand the reasons why, in spite of all
efforts, their actions had good results on community B and a negative, or
no impact at all on community A.
Government was concerned on social security and the community commitment
related to its own sense of belonging and the way communities take
advantage of the social benefits offered to them.
During the process, some historical facts, unknown to me, came out.
Through a configuration, we were able to know about the origins of community
A: it was founded by a small group of foreigners (a small community of
Asians) that was wiped out and stripped by what would be the ancestors of
the current inhabitants; it also came out that this current group did not
feel itself with the freedom to belong to the place if they did not look,
honored and gave their due place to this banned group of persons.
Community B, on the contrary, was founded and inhabited by people who have
always belonged to the geographical location. This fact has contributed to
the sense of belonging of its inhabitants: they felt proud of their
origins and they loved their place. This second group felt they had the
right to be there and reported certain suspicion towards the others until
they were able to see the exterminated group.
It was shocking for me to realize how History has a bearing on present
social behavior.
Community A issue did not have anything to do with current actions, but
with things that happened 300 hundred years ago, with this sense of loyalty
that is originated when an unfair action has been committed and the
grievance has been nursed for so long time without acknowledgement within
the system.
Something that really took me by surprise was the impact of the process in
the group (it modified my own prejudices on social work through
configurations): Many of the participants concluded with phrases such as
Awareness, Clarity A sense of peace Understanding.
I comprehended a kind of unfathomable meaning related to his type of job:
the degree of development of consciousness generated by a social process.
Nothing changes if those changes depend on people not involved in the
process, but the mere consciousness implies a modification of an status
quo.
I have carried out some similar processes after this experience with more or
less the same characteristics:
1. Valuable information that comes out from a different perspective
and vision.
2. A modification in participants attitudes that goes from I cannot
fully understand what happened (in all cases, configurations have been done
with people who did not even know a word about systemic configurations) to
words such as Sense of wellbeing Peace Understanding Consciousness.
3. A profound respect towards the system and its functioning within
collective nucleus.
Corollary
The research agency made me know about the effects of the information we
gathered through our work. Government launched campaigns that acknowledged
this original group with a place in their community history. In subsequent
surveys it was evident a change in the sense of belonging of the
inhabitants of community A and a modification of their relation with other
nearby communities.

Hi Liz
we are working with our government in social and political
constellations.
Most of the process are confidential and we have an agreement to not talk
about it.
And we obtained the permission to write about one social process that we
did.

What I can share through this work is
1. There is nothing that is outside the system.
2. All exist because in some moment in the history was a good
solution for something else.
3. Our actual behavior is not free
is deeply linked with the
history of our community, country, society.
4. The balance in the system is totally and completely no-lineal
and unexpected.
5. The awareness generated can breathe in the air for each
participant.
6. Something that I cant explain have changed in my life, in my
vision, in my way to see the world and as I know even in the lives of the
people of the government research agency.

Hi fellow constellators,
I wonder if anyone can help me. I will shortly be meeting with the
organisers of a political summit in support of a colonised nation. I would
like to encourage them to hold, as a part of their 3 day event, a day or
afternoon of political constellating with the hope it may give an
alternative support to the participants.
Can anyone suggest any useful articles that I could take along to show the
event organisers?
