Chris, Thanks for sharing this with the group. The response to it reflects how
small a planet we live on, and how we are all equally close to this sort of
devastaton. I'm sorry it is on top of you right now. I wonder so often these
days, the cumulative traumatic effect that such events and the news of such
events has on each of us. Seems we must all be in some sort of state of trauma,
some so directly in the path of it and some indirectly. Hearing of this has
such an effect on my; it is hard to actually imagine myself in the place of a
young child hiding in a closet while unknown foreign soldiers take and kill
family members, or wandering about my village where most/all of the adults have
died of AIDS. The thoughts alone traumatize me. I can't imagine the effect of
seeing such things, yet I wonder if seeing them would provide some calming
effect on the nervous system, a sort of finality that the imagination has no
such notion of. I'm anticipating/hoping for your response Anngwyn to these
musings that in my comfort, I have the luxury of.
Anni, Thank you so much for this line: "but we say thank you for all
things....not just those that appear to be 'good.'" It is truly the most
difficult to do and the thing that in my reacton, I forget most often.
David, I'm so grateful to hear that you and Janne got out.
Margreet, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your home and am seeing you
comfortably in the one that awaits you.
Mark, Thanks for the great description of phone sessions. I work in very much
the same way. I might add, that I ask, "How are you doing?" 3-4 times in the
session, after or during an important or difficult step. This gives great info
that is easier to see in person, but not always evident over the phone. Thanks,
Mark
Sneh, So glad to see you back online. Western medicine is worth it now and
again!
Love to all reading, xsheila
