This is a fascinating discussion, but I would like to suggest some caution.
The
first constellation where I was the client I came prepared with my personal
story and I was stopped. Then I started on my family story and I was stopped.
Then I said "I want to be more vulnerable" and the faciliator and I set up the
constellation. I had no idea what that meant then and now 5 years later I
couldn't begin to describe what I have experienced and how I have changed.
Although I have a critique of diagnoses, I know it is inevitable that we
understand and work with diagnoses.
Virginia Satir, who was doing Family Shaping in the 1970's and 80's, used the
phrase in her work, Beyond the Obvious. I would suggest that we keep in mind
in
Systemic Constellation Work the phrase, Beyond Words.
