Wow Tom! This is amazing information. My business coach has been telling
me to move my practice to an on-line process so I can do it from anywhere
and I really did not get how to do the constellation work that way but I see
you have. Thank you so much for sharing! Are you going to teach this
method at the American Conference? I would be interested in hearing more of

Dear Constellation Talkers,
If anyone is interested in sharing, I am curious to hear the experience
of others, and to share my own, in working remotely with Mind's Eye
constellations. I find that working in the mind's eye is superb for
systemic counseling in the individual setting. I learned the approach
and then have extended it to working remotely over the telephone and
through Skype (a free program which allows face to face computer to
computer communication). Because most of my clients live in North
America while I live in Germany, working over the phone and with Skype
makes it possible to continue the relationships.
I have found that there is a real advantage to working in the Mind's Eye
remotely. There is no need for representatives, groups or rooms. And one
can connect with clients from anywhere in the world as long as there is
either a telephone or internet connection. Have others had experience
with this?
Working over the telephone has some constraints compared to working face
to face in person, but it can still be very effective. Skype is free to
download and use but requires a good internet connection and has the
advantage of being able to make visual contact between the client and
facilitator. And with Skype one can work with drawings or figures. If a
fast internet connection is not available, the cost of an hour of long
distance or trans-continental telephone usage can be reduced by using
pre-paid calling cards.
Both constellations in the mind's eye and with representatives, work
with the theory of externalizing the inner structures of the client.
With representatives, floor markers or figures, the externalizing is
done physically. In Mind's Eye constellations, the externalizing is done
in the imagination, in virtual reality. With Skype, one can either work
completely in the mind's eye, or with markers, sketches or figures.
In remote telephone constellations one must substitute oral
communication for some of the visual cues that are available in person.
And if you are a facilitator who uses touch, this is obviously not
possible. But the same questions that I use to enhance body sense and
present awareness can be done remotely. Questions such as: How are you
breathing now? Where do you feel that in your body? What happens when
you imagine that your Father is standing in front of you? How does he
look at you? Are equally effective remotely.
