Hello everyone - Please don't get discouraged, I'm sure there are others in the
group who eagerly look forward to seeing what is going on with this web-group
who like me don't write or even ask questions, but sit at their computers and
soak it all in, like a giant sea sponge, a drop in the ocean in the sea of
knowledge. I am an Art Therapist and a beginner/learner in constellation work,
thank you for the connections. Best wishes, Anna Petterson Perth Western

Thank you Chris
for opening up the space for those of us who feel a little intimidated.
Even though I've contributed a couple of times I have done so with trepidation
- that old fear of 'not measuring up' rearing its ugly head. The fact is that I
am a mere beginner in constellation work, I'm still feeling my way and am
taking things slowly.
My partner Chris Millar and I attended the Congress in Würzburg and I would
love to hear more from other participants about their impressions. I would have
liked to connect with other Australians while there but my attempts at
instigating this (being a newcomer to the field) failed. Perhaps next time?
I would like to thank Angelika Schenk for her excellent translation of the
workshop 'Shamanism integrated into Family Constellations' by Robert Langlotz
and Noora Gröger.
And thanks to Dan Cohen for your thought-provoking insights on fearlessness and
Hellinger - I didn't respond at the time as I had nothing to add to what others
wrote.
The congress seems a long time ago but memories are still reverberating through
me. Daan von Kampenhout's 'Shamanism and Family Constellation' workshop showed
an Afghan refugee woman's inner conflict represented by three different
parts/voices of her self. The final image of her drawing strength from the
Afghan mountains still lingers with me.
I was most impressed by the breadth of application of constellation work - from
Astrology to Zen - and by the diversity of practitioner backgrounds. It was an
absolute inspiration and it was overwhelming at the same time.
I am grateful to Chris Walsh for inviting me to this list. It is an invaluable
tool for keeping constellation work present in my daily life and thoughts. And
I appreciate the sense of connection it gives me - living in a country town has
its advantages but meeting other constellation practitioners is not one of them!
Love to all

Recently there have been a couple of good interactive conversations (threads)
on this chat group. One about research and the more recent one about the Philip
Adams article.
One of the good things about conversation is the feeling of being heard &
acknowledged. I am aware a lot of emails have gone unacknowledged in this
group. eg.
* some time ago Chris Millar wrote a lovely summary of his experiences at
the international congress in Wurzburg
* More recently Monika from Namibia wrote about some recent experiences
with her work there - How amazing!
* and Jo Fenwick shared her experience of representatives silently
communicating
I know this experience of being unacknowledged can be frustrating. Your email
can feel like a message in a bottle cast out to sea. Maybe someone reads it &
enjoys it maybe not. However I feel as if I am over contributing already, so I
feel we need some others to do the acknowledging.
So there are 60 people registered in this group. I would like to encourage the
silent members to say a few words, even if it is only one line of
acknowledgement. (original contributions would also be welcome.)
I would also like to hear if anyone feels intimidated to contribute for any
reason or if there are any suggestions as to how to make it easier to
contribute.
It would be better to make these suggestions to the group but if for any reason
you feel it is more appropriate you can send suggestions directly to me at
