I literally did, John.
I remember the story to continue with the big elephant eventually showing up
and the little monkey  not bashing his head in.
However the puchline is not to be found in my memory.
I meant it when I wrote, please help.

The story came to me because of the statement:
"what does he really want?"
For me that is putting Bert's teaching in the most poignant of nutshells.
Kind of the banner to have fluttering over every  constellation.

I am afraid, I do not understand what is inflated about the story apart from the little monkey.

Thanks John,
Max

Hi all,

maybe it is time for a bit of lightness.
One of Bert's magical, soul touching stories comes to mind:

The little monkey sitting way up in a coco nut palm;
answering every passer-by's question "what are you doing up there?"
with a ferocious "I am going to bash the big elephant's head in, if he dares to show up"
leaving every inquirer walking on, wondering:
"what does he really want?"

I forgot how the story ends,
please help

Max
