Dear,
Please be very careful in linking any medical condition with patterns of
previous generations. Sometimes, we see indeed patterns, but life is far more
complex than these simple patterns. This is really jumping to conclusions
without respecting the individual reality of each person. Furthermore,
concerning psychosis, addiction is certainly one of the most important risk
factors.
Kind regards,

Hi Everyone,
I have a question about mental illness and how that arises in the family
system.
My understanding according to Hellinger is that psychosis indicates
there may have been a murder in the family system that was kept a
secret or not emotionally dealt with.
The energy of the victim/perpetrator dynamic is still present and shows
up in a family member who may not even be aware of what happened in
a previous generation.
Has this concept been added to or modified within our systemic constellation
community?
(fyi I realize there is more research now indicating a biological bases for
mental illness including
viruses and lack of good gut bacteria but I believe SCW is still relevant)
Are there new insights into the relationship between what shows up:
psychosis, OCD, borderline personality,
paranoia and other forms for mental illness, and the unresolved social,
family or childhood trauma?
Thanks in advance for any insights or references you would like to share.
Warmly
Harrison Snow
