Although I had been around Constellation work for nearly 10 years it was
seeing horses do what I considered Constellation work that prompted me to
become a Constellation facilitator.
While I do not specifically use horses in my Constellation workshops
because I don't have any of my own I have assisted a friend of mine in her
workshops. There is a segment in her workshops that is similar to a
Constellation in which the horses do behave as representatives. The one
thing that I do feel is necessary if one is to use horses is to really
understand how horses communicate and that both the horse(s) and the
participants are safe. And that the horse has the opportunity and is given
the respect to say "no" just as is any other representative in a
Constellation. I have seen horses who do regular work with clients clearly
indicate when they do and do not want to participate.
Just as a matter of horse knowledge, when a horse licks and chews or
repeatedly yawns (I've seen them yawn sometimes as much as 10 times in a
row) that is their way of releasing either for themselves or for the client.
