Thank-you for your mail and your interest in our work here in South
Africa. The family constellation method has for some strange reason
only taken off recently here in South Africa. I am not sure of its
exact history as there are some untrained facilitators here that have
been using the work in various ways.Dr. Bubbles Levison was the first
therapist to do the training a few years ago at Zist. It is only in the
last year since I attended the training at Zist that we've been setting
up the BERT HELLINGER INSTITUTE AFRICA. We are very much in the,
foundation phase of building up the work, and have had litttle
experience of it as yet within the Zulu culture.
There are a number of people within our core group that are initiating
research into this area, and I hope that we will have something to
contribute to the web-site soon. I have done a workshop with a group of
traditional healers - who are the direct link to the ancestors, and hope
to do more of this and document their experiences of how the FC work
fits into their way of working with the ancestors. Things are moving
slowly here however, as most of us are occupied full time elsewhere and
can only devote spare time to this work.
I would be very interested to place your research paper as a link on our
web-site if you would agree to this. We meet once a month to, amongst
other things, discuss how this work fits into or can be adapted further
for local culture. We would value your input.
