Can you explain where these theories come from and if there is any research as
well, i.e. that shows that the 'original' duality preceded oneness?

Hello Joanna,
I think there is great truth in such simplicity that seems to have roots in
an existential, or natural field of nature and life itself. Essentially all
positions and actions in the fields of life can be divided into only two;
that is the masculine and the feminine. This is the original duality that
preceeds wholeness or oneness, and the original separation that our field
brings together. I have observed that women tend to lift babies and carry
them on their left hip for the same reason you describe. Contact from left
eye to left eye is always receptive (ingoing) opening to feeling, and contact
from right eye to right eye is protective (outgoing.) In constellation work
it is important to notice these differences in our own body mind systems in
order to be able to rebalance "weight" within ourselves and in the field for
transformation of both. The amazing thing is that looking in a soft balanced
way with both eyes reveals a third reality beyond
duality. Hellinger has had participants practicing this way of looking in
trainings for quite sometime now. For those that may be interested there are
two articles in the January 2010 edition of The Knowing Field this topic. One
is by David Mathes called "Personal Reflections - The Order of Woman
following Men: An exploration', P.60; and the other is by myself on P.62
called "The Male/Female Principle in Family Constellations.
