Adding to previous observations:
Bert Hellingers work posits soul as the creating core of human, family, and
social evolution. I find myself approximating this meaning more closely when I
dispense with concrete images, linguistic metaphors, definite and indefinite
articles, singular and plural cases, and possessive pronouns, and instead use
soul generically and qualitatively.
When we approach soul as integrating energy working incessantly towards the
healing and fulfilment of persons, families and wider universes, we seem to
apprehend a mysterious resource of incalculable value.
Personally, soul guides, nudges, prompts, undergirds, empowers, elucidates,
collects together, energises, sustains, validates and inspires us to transcend
youthfully and culturally socialised limitations and barriers, with movements
towards wider fields and higher harmonies.
Familially, soul balances and equilibrates ancestral lines, generations and
genders across fates, injustices, and life situations. In achieving balanced
systemic harmony, soul may work to the apparent detriment of individuals for
example by entangling young children in fatal archaic destinies far beyond
their or their parents consciousness or volition. Yes, tragedies occur. Yet
the restriction or eclipse of a fledgling life may, through a fuller
perspective, beyond the blinkers of tribal loyalties, reveal a higher order
purposefulness within a larger kinship system or relationship network.
Greater soul, similarly, works towards harmony and wholeness across even vaster
domains, and may involve more comprehensive tragedies such as the effects of
war. Yet postwar reconciliations may eventuate in a quality of soul-led peace
previously unimaginable.
Our challenge is to overcome petty narrowness of mind, heart and spirit to
apprehend more complex patterns of evolutionary generosity that facilitate
global human and environmental enrichment.
Constellations may show soul contradicting conventional morality and stretching
our boundaried understanding towards wider horizons. Employing fields beyond
fields, this stretching can open sacred pathways that lead towards
transcendence.
Through soul we truly become; it is the origin, where peace begins.
