Yes Margreet, the advanced way, that sounds better than new.
All religious traditions have an exo teric doctrine for the masses and an
esoteric, for few initiates who could cope with the enormous difficulties of
the way. Let's say the exoteric stay with the grammar, and the esoteric go to
the Unknown surfing on grammar until some point. This Unknown is an inner path.
That path we men, hate, as Herman Hesse says.
There comes a point in the practice of FC, or origami, or painting, or karate,
that one reaches the limits of grammar. Some stay there, others begin the
journey of the soul. None is better, as there are two hands of God.
But we so often want to grab that which can only be seen by the eyes of the
soul, to be filmed and measured, and packed for mass consumption.
Classic FC demands a lot from us, helpers. Spirit FC demands it all. Jesus, I
want it so much, but my knees tremble and my breath falter. Yes, we go there
like we go to war, with fear, with respect, with trust, with abandonment.
For me there is only the traveling on paths that have heart, on any path that
may have heart. There I travel, and the only worthwhile challenge is to
traverse its full length. And there I travel, looking, looking, breathlessly. -
