Thankyou all for confirming the value of this group for you.
This exercise felt like when a facilitator sometimes go to finish a
constellation that has lost its energy only to find that very act reinvigorates
the constellation. But this group is not a constellation - so now I can trust
that it is okay if it goes quiet for a long time again.
Nonetheless sometimes it is important to talk just to stay in touch, even if
you have nothing profound to say. - the willingness to stay in touch can be
profound enough.
So when one of the recent emailers asked about the balance of giving and taking
for me, I have to say I really appreciate it when people contribute and make an
effort to ensure that individuals who send in emails get a response. It is so
easy for people to lose heart if they make a contribution and there is no
visible response. It is a bit like the old fashioned psychoanalytical
psychotherapist who just sits through a psychotherapy session nodding and
occasionally saying "mmmmmm" . So that is my request in the realm of giving and
taking- to actively respond to other people's communications.
If you just look at the emails sent in the last week a number of people raised
issues other than my concerns about the future of the group. So there is plenty
of material to start with if anyone wants.
Having said that I am happy to let the group soul guide this project and leave
the structure of the group just as it is.
hasta la vista
