Warm Greetings to the teachers. Very interesting transplant
conversation...
I was present for a constellation facilitated by Bert Hellinger for a
man who was experiencing a dramatic psychosis; sleep deprivation, and
night terrors after donating a kidney to a longtime friend. Bert
Hellinger told me later, when I was conveying the man's regards, that
the constellation is now represented in one of his books, which is
written in German. Unfortunately I cannot read German so I have not
read the account, but the record is public, so it seems appropriate
to share.
Not wanting to misrepresent anything in the constellation that I am
not sure of, I will refrain from giving details about the progression
of movements. Some other facilitators may have witnessed the
constellation and remember more specifics. The summary of the
movement was that Death was feeling somewhat aggressive toward the
man who had donated the kidney. (Thus his fear and nightmares) In
fact, as Hellinger pointed out to the man, "You have cheated death."
The individual had a full recovery and abatement of all symptoms
after the constellation, which included his honoring Death and
allowing his friend to pursue his own fate.
In another transplant constellation I am aware of, there was some
confusion in the family systems after a transplant. The family of
the transplant patient began to encroach upon the family and time of
the donor. In constellation it appeared that via the organ donation
the donor had become a "part" of the transplant patient's system.
Through constellation the boundaries of the separate systems were
clarified.
