Ursula Franke reports on her detailed research in her book, my copy of which
is out on loan at present. I think the title is "The River that never turns
back." It reads as though it is a PhD thesis or post-doc study.

The research I am already aware of is that being done by Hunter Beaumont

by Ursula Franke. I don't really know how that is going at this stage.
As well as being interested in studies that have been done or are in
progress, I am interested in anything that has the potential to be
developed
as a research tool into constellations. For example I know that some people
are using feedback sheets and follow up from their workshop participants.
Some may have developed databases to record their findings from these
feedback sheets. Other people have developed ways of recording
constellations on paper. It would be interesting to hear about these and
other endeavours, and what people may have learnt from them so far

dear all
long time no movement/chat on list!
i'm really sending this out as a plea to anyone out there that might
know of any studies that have been done on constellations specifically
on outcome measures/efficacy of constellation work.
why i need this is becuase i offered constellation group work to my
patients at a public psychiatric outpatient facility (which is fairly
anti psychotherapy in general we treat and street medically rather than
- shock horror! - talk to people much any more). still they were
looking for innovative ideas from the staff and i tend to do a bit of
psychotherapy there, with our patients who are generally people that are
or have been fairly unwell and in the public psych ward at various times
- mostly diagnoses of paranoid schizophrenia, a few bipolar and a
smattering of personality disorders. i was envisaging offering brief
constellations during a day or afternoon to people who were currently
well or in remission, with the case managers there. when i proposed this
to the manager (the guy that decides things based on the budget and
seems to be the boss becuase the budget seems to be the most important
thing nowadays - not that i was considering charging anyway!) - he
humphed and phumphed and said 'how established/reputable is this
therapy? and stalled me with 'if you can present me with some
outcome/efficacy studies so we can justify it, 'll let you go ahead.
failing empirical and outcome studies any articles in 'repputable'
journals would be great.
looking forward to a response - i'll also email hunter beaumont cos he
might be helpful too.
