Hi Lesley, Interested in what you find out as I have regular client whose
mother grew up in religious cult, where there was much molestation, her
daughter grew up in same cult with same experiences. She has strengths to leave
the religion, seek a lot of psychological help and start a family of her own
independent of cult and molestation. She knows little about her mum s family
and even less about her fathers. So all of it the system of the cult and her
own families systems are shrouded in mystery. And even as I write this I notice
my own judgement of the religious group/ cult and notice I forget to
acknowledge what it may have given to my clients family. I suppose it all comes
down to questions of love and power. Where is the love in the cult...?
