Greetings from Colonia del Sacramento,Uruguay!
In following the discussions about stopped constellations it seems clear that
there are a variety of reasons when this might be indicated. In my own work, I
have observed the potential power of a stopped constellation when a healing
movement is indicated and then interrupted. Clients have reported that the
outcome, over time,is that something like an impulse to complete an incomplete
movement is then generated in the system.
In trauma work, we often find that symptoms derive from an interrupted
movement.? If this is the case, then guiding the client toward completion of
the movement may provide a degree of resolution.? Once the need to complete the
movement has become conscious, the urge to completion and also sometimes a
resistance, begins to get stronger. If the completion does not happen, for
whatever reason, I have observed that the field often provides an opening for
resolution beyond the context of a therapeutic session.
And so, it could be that by setting up a configuration for completing an
incomplete movement, which is then interrupted, that the impulse toward
completion is then set in motion through the field , and resolution? may
manifest in some other context.
All for now...
