During a recent workshop I attended, one constellation dealt with the
relationship between the seeker/client and the s/c's paternal grandparents.
The grandparents had perpetrated in a big way against their former employer.
More or less in passing the s/c mentioned being homosexual, as is the only
sibling.
While observing the constellation dealing with the central issue, a sentence
popped into my mind and stayed with me until after the workshop.
Fate had it, I found myself next to the person who had represented the
seeker/client from above; privately our conversation drifted back to the
constellation and the somewhat remarkable fact that the only two children of
the oldest son of those grandparents were homesexual.
The opportunity was there to test the sentence that had come to me earlier,
the other reconnected to the feeling of the representation and I suggested
to say to the grandparents:
I chose not to have children, to make sure what you did
will not be perpetuated.
The reaction was very strong in the affirmative.
Never before had it occurred to me there may be a systemic link between
homosexuality and unresolved major perpetrations of an ancestor.
