Greetings from Arizona,
Johnathan Shay's Achilles in Vietnam is an excellent resource on war trauma.
also Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing video working with Ray : Combat Trauma
is available on you tube which documents his work with a returning Iraq war
veteran over a number of years and then also with his new family. It is
important to note how little narrative there is about the war itself or
specific incidents since Peter is careful not to add to Ray's overwhelm.
In my work with war trauma and SCW I keep the representatives to a minimum, if
I use them at all, usually just one for War. I have written about using nature
as a resource in healing war trauma in my first book : Relative Balance in an
Unstable World, also available in Spanish and an out of print German language
version.
Warm regards
