Actually I use Sonar 8.5 to produce audio recordings of choral parts. A
recording will contain a piano accompaniment, the midi instruments
playing each choral part together, and audio tracks of the sung vocal
lines. An alto in the churs gets a cd containing her part sung, a
clarinet playing her line and pianos playing all the other parts.
I would want to have the metronome recorded in cases where the piano
accompaniment is not available, or when there are lots of meter changes
which non music readers need to be aware of. So if the metronome can be
sent to a bus which can be made part of the mix, that's quite useful to
me.
