You'll need sighted assistance to make sure that your cables are properly connected. the other thing you should do is to manually type in some notes in the event list. Any notes will do. then play them back and see if you hear anything. Hi all and kevin , First of all many thanks for your answer:-) I did the following: 1. I recorded on Audio track one and looked in the event few. there ofcorse where no notes in because its an audio track. But also I could not hear any sound by playback. 2. I recorded on a midi track witch is asigned to the TTs1 (an soft synth.) By opening the event few it told me that there are no events because nothing has been recorded. But when I mark the wole midi track it tells me the bars witch are marked. After all I think that my kayboard has problems sending in midi-data. I dont know why. Any idears how to continue now? I will read the help pages and manuals today but for now I have no idear what could cause such a problem. You can test whether your keyboard is connected correctly by Opening a new project and arming a track in SONAR then hitting record. then play a C Major scale. Whether you hear the notes or not, after playing eh scale, hit stop. Open the event list for the track on which you just recorded and see if you have note events in the view. If you do, you know that your keyboard is sending MIDI data into SOnAR and hat that data is being recorded in SONAR. kevin -----Original Message----- From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Patrick Schuppe Sent: Monday, September 18, 2006 12:15 PM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Very Strange Midi-problem in Sonar Please Help!! Hi again, Since one week now I am dealing here with an very hard to figure out midi-problem. The story is very long but I make it short. First what I am using here: I have an M-audio Radium 61 and an M-audio Midi sport 4X4. As Soundkart I am using an M-audio Delta 1010 lt. The Radium is connected via usb to the PC. My operating system is Windows xp professional with Jaws 7.0, Sonar 5.2 and Caketalking 5.18 When I first set everything up I have had no problems. But now when I open Sonar, start a new projekt and insert one of my soft synths I can play it but hear nothing. When I play around a bit with the midi-options then it sometimes heppens that I can play the Kayboard (radium 61) but only for 30 sekends and then its gone again. I think that this is a real strange problem I have done the following steps without any solution: . made sure that all in and outputs are korrekt . . re-start my system and tried again with a complete new projekt . played stoped and rewind as written in the CT manual to correkt an not playing kayboard. . disconnected my M-audio Midisport 4x4 and tried again . disconnected the radium 61 and pluged it in again . I also made an system restore to an earlier time with out any result for the problem. . and a few other things witch I can not remember yet. I am close to give up here:-) I have no idears what is the problem here. Also when I insert a synth, load a midi-file and hit play it plays with the correct synth I have given. What hardly will not work is the Radium 61. Only for 30 sekends if I am lucky. By the way Audio is working fully ok. I have 1 GB of Ram and a 3 Ghz processor here. Has any one of you had this problem and can give idears how to fix it? My system is complete in english so this also could not be the problem. By the way I am using WDM-drivers here because by the Delta 1010 LT where only wdm-drivers. If I need to change to Asio for any reson then I need this drivers first. Is there an easy way to test if my radium 61 works correctly and is installed properly? Any help is realy appricated because I am out of idears here and want to go on. Many thanks, Best regards from Germany, Patrick Schuppe
